Philips Hue Bridge, a connected lighting system, allows users to create extraordinary moments and interact with their home using light. Start with Philips Hue in the preferred mode: Wireless, Bridges. Don’t worry, you can also install a Gateway to your Philips Hue system if it is Bluetooth-controlled.

Operation Philips Bridge Hue:

The Hue Gateway allows you to control a Philips Hue-connected lighting speed wirelessly. A Hue Bridge can be added to an existing installation to unlock a wide range of advanced illumination capabilities. However, one is not always better than the other. This article will explain everything you need about the Hue Gateway to help you decide if it is the right smart street lighting solution.

Do you need a Hue Bridge?

The Hue Bridge, which connects to the Area network via the Zigbee network, is the heart of the Hue lighting control systems. This allows you operate your Philips Hue smart switch from anywhere on the globe, as long as you have access to an internet service that uses Smart Lights.

The Hue Bridge is not required for Philips Hue Bridge smart light. Many Smart Lights lighting systems can be controlled wirelessly (check the label) using the Smart Lights Wireless App. A Wireless configuration comes with some limitations.

Hue Bridge and Hue Bluetooth

Wireless lighting is more versatile than a Hue Bridge. If you have a Hue Gateway you can connect up to 50 lights to your home. However, you can only interconnect 10 lights in one bedroom with Wireless if your led switches are operated by Wireless.

A Bluetooth controller can only control your led switches if they are within the network’s range, which is approximately 30 inches or 10 metres. If you have a Philips Hue outdoor lighting system or a larger house, the Hue Gateway will give you maximum strength.

What’s the Hue Bridge’s range of products?

Zigbee allows electronic networks to connect to an internal network. It is reliable, fast, and safe. Your electricity will not be cut if your connection goes south.

The Hue Bridge has a 291-meter outdoor length and an increase in the inside length (960 feet and +80 feet respectively). A typical home is unlikely to have any range concerns. Additionally, Hue lights can be added to your network as Zigbee signaling extenders, increasing your network’s range.

How many lights are compatible with Hue Bridge?

Hue Bridges can be used to access all Philips Hue smart streetlight features. A 2nd Hue Bridge may be required if you have more than 50 Philips Hue control lights and gadgets. Some people who live in large houses might find it difficult to maintain a single Philips Hue Bridge.
