Do you want to improve your Google rankings? You’re in the right spot, as I will be sharing 4 amazing on-page SEO tips that you can easily implement.

Internally link via the footer and sidebar

SEO is important and internal links are the best way to increase rankings. Although I don’t know the reason, I believe it is because people don’t fully understand their power.

A single link from an internal source won’t have much impact on your rankings unless it comes from a page that has a lot of authority. To increase rankings, there must be many links linking to pages.

Here is where footer and sidebar links come in. In a matter of minutes, you can create many links to pages that you wish to rank. You can choose 10 pages to rank, and then add 5 links to your sidebar. The other 5 are in your footer.

I recommend that the anchor text of each link be a partial match. Your target keyword could be “Best protein powders to slim men”. You could use the following anchor text: “Check these top 10 protein supplements for skinny men”.

This is because too many anchor links for exact matches can be confusing. It is better to be slightly under-optimized than highly optimized.

Add links to the menu

If you have not read the above, please do so immediately. You can add internal links to your menu using the same strategy that you used to add links to the sidebar and footer. This is a great way to quickly get links to your most important pages.

You don’t need to add too many links to your menu. However, it is important to consider the user experience. A large menu can make it difficult to navigate. Keep it to 3 to 5 links. These pages could be the pages that generate the most revenue or the pages that you feel have the greatest potential to rank.

Google Search Console – Update content

You’ll start to notice that other people rank higher than you. You will lose rankings because your competitors have created better pages or a large website has chosen to compete with you.

This can be avoided by updating old content. Google Search Console is an excellent tool to help you do this.

Here’s how it works:

  • Login To Your Google Search Console
  • Click on “Performance”
  • Click on “Pages”
  • Click on the page that you wish to update
  • Click on “Queries”

Here you can see which keywords are getting the most impressions and clicks. These keywords can be added to your content or used to create new sections.

Once you have done this, you will see an increase in your rankings.

TIP: Use the keyword that receives the most clicks or impressions in your meta title to increase your impact on rankings.

You can add synonyms to your target keyword

If your target keyword is dog treats, then you will find synonyms for both dogs treats and dogs.

Dog synonyms would be:

  • Doggy
  • Puppy
  • Puppy
  • Hound
  • Mutt
  • Pooch

The synonyms for treat are:

  • Goody
  • delight
  • Sweet
  • Amazing feats
  • refreshment

You can show that your content is relevant by inserting synonyms. Google will know the exact content of your page.
